US - Austin

Let’s get one thing out of the way right off the bat. Austin is full, and I mean chock full, of beautiful women. Gorgeous. And it’s not like Sweden or Argentina where the guys are also all models. The guys in Austin are regular people, while the women have all become superhero hotties. Kind of makes you wonder why you aren’t here if you are a young straight dude and single. I’m not kidding.

Anyway let’s also clear one other thing up. I don’t think about, talk about, worry about, or cook, order, or dream about BBQ. But I’m a decent listener, and I try everything. I had lots of good ones. Leroy and Lewis was great, terry blacks was transcendent. Not the sides, they were fine, but the meat was perfect. Beef ribs are killer, with a huge price that surprised even me.

Some random things we did…
Vulcan comedy club was raunchy as shit. Truly deplorable. Like it’s been months and I am still quite offended. Ha!
Home slice pizza was actually really good for gimmicky best pizza in Austin kind of fare.
Sushi by Scratch, the private sushi club at the Hyatt regency was rad. Far far far away, but I gotta do that again somewhere!
Due Mai was great too.
Migas tacos at Veracruz truly were the jam.
Red rose (strip club) was fun and not pushy and it was all 20 to 30 dollar table dances. We did the two bottle package they advertise on their website. Though somehow none of my boys chipped a single dollar in on that thousand dollar bill…hmmmm. The bachelor was happy though.
Palazio (strip club) was very very pushy and they pushed for 8 hondo to go into a back room for 30 mins. All they were selling up front was 100 dollar 3 song dances. Mine was stellar though, like stellar man :)
Suerte is rad and should be on anyone’s list. Upscale mod place for tacos.

Easy Tiger Bake Shop was fine…I’m off breweries.

BTW, the leroy and lewis we went to was at the Cosmic Coffee and beer garden. Which I adored. Austin loves these outdoor food hall beer garden set ups and this one was great. Though hot no?

Rainey street is not long but it might be my favorite bar hopping area. Fun and packed bars and restaurants.
6th street is really long. The east side is dirty and low brow closed street fun. The west side is outdoor bar, older, less debauchery but still tons of fun.
The south congress area was best for shopping and lunch and day drinking it felt like. Home slice pizza may be a gimmick at this point, but it was damn good. This area is not very walkable to the other parts btw.

Austin Proper - Sep 2022

This hotel is sexy man. The lobby, the bars, the restaurant, it’s all upscale and on point. The pool is small but packed with awesome bathing suits.
No ppv but mini bar was stocked and room service was good.
I had the premium room and it was perfectly fine with an awesome large shower.

W Hotel - Sep 2022

I mean it’s an awesome location, but perhaps a bit toned down from a rad major city W. The spa does not have an awesome pre treatment area. The gym was giant and nice. The pool area was giant and nice.

They had “12 hour PPV” huh? But 24 hour room service.

The Cool Corner Suite was good as always. Pretty big and a great bathroom.
