US - Nashville
I now that people love Nashville. I’ve heard it my whole life. I never imagined how right they were. Like people talk shit you know? But these shit talkers were talking some honest shit. The shit be the truth.
But seriously, what an amazing place. I think I’ve traveled to most “party” places in the world, and make no mistake this is a party place, but it’s more than that. It’s better than that. The music flows out of every place like a welcome mat. The music isn’t an additional piece of the puzzle, it’s the other way around, and I love it. It isn’t always your type of music, and it certainly isn’t always at the volume level that you would prefer, but for real, the people making the music are having a great time, and the people listening to the music are having a great time. I couldn’t believe how generally happy everyone seemed. It was uplifting. Sure there is some desperation on the streets of any town in America, but all things being equal, there were more smiles here than I’ve seen in quite some time. I still talk about. Where in the US is like that? I compared it to Rio during Carnival (which is admittedly incomparable to anything in the world), maybe not in scope, but certainly in philosophy. It really just makes you want to dance.
We also went to that food hall right next to the main drag which I liked quite a but. And Nashville hot chicken is pretty good too I guess.
W Nashville - Nov 2023
Location was in the gulch which was a bit away from Broadway for my liking. This area does have some cool restaurants and stores but it just feels like you are surrounded by highways the whole time.
No PPV but good mini bar. Good room service.
Breakfast was at The Dutch. We loved this restaurants style and the menu was good. Rooftop bar and outdoor pool were out of season but cool.
We had a fabulous (2 beds) which was pretty basic and the bathroom had giant sliding doors which were iffy on privacy, and a Marvelous Suite which had a huge sitting area and a giant bathroom. Pretty awesome room to be honest. My only complaint was the living room was only half divided from the bedroom, so there was no real closing it off.

Pretty rad actually. Location is great but not perfect, it’s maybe 4 blocks to get to the action part of broadway. Not a big walk but it depends who you’re with.
We got a Griffin suite which was huge. Great living room area with an extra bathroom and a great master.
The breakfast restaurant was actually cool.
The pool is very cool and the day beds were a 200 fee while the cabanas were 450. I would get a cabana next time but our bed was shaded so we were fine. It got super busy!
Bourbon steak (on the rooftop) has a great sort of indoor outdoor part of the bar that was a very cool and fun for drinks. Great dinner.
We went to the Virgin for our pool party and I was a bit disappointed. It was fun, but the pool was super small (see pic below) and super crowded. We got a 10 top for brunch which is actually a fun spot right next to the pool but they had a DJ playing the whole time so you’ve got to want that vibe while eating. The cabana was a 10 person for a 1500 spend, which we combined with a day bed for 750 and met the spends easily.
Also Etch was cool and the food was good. In a great location too.

It’s rad enough. Great location (though for lower brow the moxy is closer to broadway). Our room was pretty sweet, style and layout wise.
Breakfast spot was great. Rooftop bar was great. Lobby bar was cool but was surprisingly so so empty on a Saturday night, even with live music.
No movies, nothing in mini bar. They had room service but not 24 hours.
Notes to self:
-If you ever go back to Guntersville to see S, stay at the bay Suites again.
