Taiwan - Taipei

Taipei is cool. I’m not sure it’s cooler than the other major Asian cities. That being said, who doesn’t love night markets, and here they have so many (Shinlin was the jam and open well past midnight). And with the major addition of pseudo crappy carnival games everywhere I would also say these markets are unique.
Who doesn’t love a culture that quite commonly, takes a hot dog, slices it down the middle, stuffs it with kimchi, then take another hot dog and slices it down the middle, then stuff the first hot dog inside of the second hot dog, wraps it tightly and smashes it together, almost to be eaten like a popsicle. Just awesome.
I was told to check out Wenchang street for bars next time I’m there…

Aloft Taipei - Jan 2024

The aloft was fine. It was a long layover so I save my long awaited W visit for another time.
